presented at the last CES, the flexible screen technology developed by Samsung YOUM pose some problems, and lead to a delay in production.
Flexible displays, everyone dreams, everyone talks about it, but nobody has ever really used. And yet, many manufacturers rely on: LG has announced plans to be the first to market, while Samsung has been his presentation with great fanfare at the last CES in Las Vegas (see video below).
That said, it may be that we have to wait many months before seeing Samsung smartphones have this futuristic technology, the Korean manufacturer experiencing some difficulties conceiving. In any case reports the Korean site etnews.com.com that evokes slowing production due to encapsulation technology equipping those screens. This system of protection against moisture was acquired in late 2011 via a patent company Vitex System, but would result in a period of manufacturing plant too long. ETNews adds that Samsung Display would be looking for another technology to protect its baptized YOUM screens.
Initially intended to be sold by the end of 2013, made in flexible displays Samsung therefore may not land until sometime in 2014. So you can keep your old Super AMOLED Gorilla Glass with a few times.
